The Brunelleschi String Quartet was formed in 2004 at Trinity College of Music. Under the guidance of Michael Bochmann and George Hajinikos the ensemble has developed and cultivated its sound and interpretation. It is an exciting group passionate about chamber music. The aspiration for beauty of line and warmth of tone are a constant in their performances. Their sound is unique and has been highly praised.
They have a wide and interesting repertoire from the purity of the Early Baroque through Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Dvorak, Shostakovich to compositions especially written for them. In February 2008 they gave the World Premier of ‘Heart Has No Measure’ by Denise Mangiardi. They are currently preparing a new string quartet by Aziza Sadikova.
