Violin and Piano Duo
Orpheus and Lada have been
collaborating together for several years. They have performed together in
London and throughout England. Their performances have been enthusiastically
received as has their interesting choice of repertoire and programme design
which explores a variety of tone colours, timbres and musical styles creating a
musical synergy, poetry and fantasy in design and execution. Appearances
include St John’s Smith Square, Anglo Czechoslovak Trust and Trinity Arts
Centre Gainsborough.
Lada Valesova is a graduate of the Prague Conservatoire, Prague Music Academy
and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She is a concert artist and
chamber musician having recently given concerts in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, France, Spain, Czech Republic and Great Britain including most
recently solo recitals at Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival and the Three
Choirs Festival in Hereford. Her prizes include winner of the Alexander Wise
Memorial Prize, for Romantic music.
She has performed in St. John’s Smith Square and the Lindbury Studio, ROH.
She was a recitalist in a chamber music cycle under the patronage of the Czech
Philharmonics in Prague. Her performance with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra in
Germany led to a CD recording with the orchestra.
She is in demand not only as a soloist but also as a highly sensitive
experienced and supportive accompanist and chamber music player.
